Nice Monitor For The Price

by Moonvine , May 04 '00
Pros: good basic monitor, ikey for auto-calibration, 3 year warranty
Cons: takes up a lot of room, text somewhat blurry at very high resolution
I've been using this monitor for about 6 months and overall have been quite pleased with it. This was a gift from a friend who was moving out of town and could not fit the monitor in his car (lucky me!) However, the manufacturer's suggested retail...

Monitor for the masses...

by andruzzo , Jun 11 '00
Pros: cheap, good `work-horse'
Cons: Lacks great crispness, limited fine-tuning
I have been using this monitor on my Windoze machine for about 4 months now.

The picture is bright but is not as clear as I would want. After
comparing it with my Viewsonic PT771, I can say that the picture is
_noticeably_ weaker on...

Sharp Picture for the money

by dsksoccer2 , Jan 25 '00
Pros: picture, price
Cons: none
The Acer 77e moniter I own is a wonerful display. The colors are crisp and the resolution is very nice. I have this moniter connected to an Apple Powermac G3 with 16MB of video ram. The picture quality is equal to or above any other 17 inch moniter i...

Pros: great price, good video
Cons: large, hard to work with word processing
This montior has an excellent picture and for the price one of the best montiors on the market. It has no flicker at all and warms up quick and generates very little heat.

Two bad points thought, nothings perfect I quess:

1. It...

Great value for a 17in monitor

by zboatman , Nov 18 '00
Pros: Big, good picture
Cons: Big footprint, Big unit
I just recently rebuilt my computer and wanted to get a new monitor. I knew I wanted a 17inch monitor, but was not excited about dropping $300 to $400 on it as I had just dumped a bunch of money into my computer. I use it for personal web surfing but...

Big Screen, Low Price, Average Quality

by Steifel , Oct 29 '00
Pros: Inexpensive for what you get
Cons: Length from front to back
I purchased this monitor six months ago, and have been quite satisfied with it. I enjoy playing a multitude of games and this monitor has worked great for that purpose. While working on my writing I don't have to squint my eyes to read everything....

Probably just mine.

by gzukoff , Jun 05 '06
Pros: Decent viewable area, inexpensive
Cons: Problematic
I purchased this model in the summer of 2000. It has been working well until just recently. About once every half-hour it seems to just shutoff for a second and goes back on. I have checked all of the cables and connections and they are all tight with...
