Pros: Solid board, very fast, great for overclocking. Cons: Expensive, buggy setup, S/PDIF connector not included.
I purchased this board when it first came on the market. I've had many ASUS boards and they're always rock solid, though you pay for the quality with a higher price. I was impressed right away with the quality of the user manual. I'm used to pretty...
The most stable board I've... by waynej_dt3000 ,Dec 21 '02
The most stable board I've seen! I can't say enough good things about it! I'm running 512megs of pc2700, XP2100 unlocked & runing 138/35 x 14. Shows as 1932mhz. Was 1733 & 133/33. Bios update supports XP2600. The settings clearly support higher than that! Running Win2000 & Win98 starting from one drive and WinXP & Win98SE from another. XP is on Raided drives. Ya, it took a while to setup! :)
This is my first PC that I've built from scratch. I did a lot of research, and people liked this board because it is easy & reliable. I installed it, and had NO problems at all. It was easier than I could have expected, and faster than I could have expected. The layout of the board is nice, and the manual is perfect for getting everything in its place. I will continue to use ASUS.

Awesome board. Lot of options. My first Asus board, now i dont think ill buy another brand. I have only a 1.46 ghz XP running with 512 of 2100. But the setup now with this board versus same setup with old board, IS A TREMENDOUS improvment.
