Pros: compact, attractive, intuitive buttons, comes with all accessories Cons: the included headphones
As an owner of an old MP3 player (32 MB memory just isn't enough), I was looking for a compact, easy-to-use portable audio device for use at the gym and while walking to classes. I initially considered buying a portable CD player capable of playing MP3...
Pros: Design, accessories, display and sound quality. Cons: Battery life, earphones and somewhat tricky navigation of controls.
The market seems flooded with excellent quality portable MiniDisc players and recorders, though I've yet to find one with a decent set of headphones. The Sharp MD-SR60 is no exception.
Despite its handsome design and solid feel, it's let down...
Pros: Manual record level adjustable-on-the-fly. Good sound. Can use standard AA battery. Full Operation w/o remote. Cons: Cheap headphones & remote. Non back-lit LCD display.
I bought the Sharp MD-SR60 about 2-years ago from Amazon.com for a price of 159.00, which was good at that time, plus $7.00 for 2-day UPS. ( UPS can't count... it took 4-days) Minidisco and others wanted $179- 225 plus $12-15 for shipping.

Pros: Nice feature set. Recordable, functional remote, everything included. Cons: Carrying case is really a bag.

dont buy this one, dont buy any of this company by argenta ,Dec 10 '03
Pros: didnt works Cons: and the waranty wont works either
I want to say this early, DON'T BUY THIS RECORDER! I got mine two years ago, first just cant recorder, allways get this "toc" stuff or "cant write" and never recorded anything, I tried with multiple discs, I've even tried the discs on a friend's player to make sure they weren't the problem. I haven't done anything to it (ie. drop it, smash it into a wall).
When i got mine i have to travel from usa , for 8 months when i back to usa took it to the customer service to try the warranty and they said cant help me, just spend $120 for a MD I wasn't able to use it even once for a MD doesnt please don't put yourself in this situation, don't buy it.

Overall this Player is worth it, you can always buy another remote with a display, but my suggestion would be to get a digital optical cord or recording becomes even more tedious.
