Pros: I have used this recorder for quite a while and it still works fine. Cons: The same old cheap plastic that will break every time you drop it.

Panasonic RN-305 - I got an 'A' in the class!!
by sandwicz ,Oct 11 '03
Pros: Clear recording and playback, didn't "eat" batteries, nice size. Cons: Voice activation chopped off the first word.
I'll be brief. I was taking a history class that is notorious for making you go through notebooks. The tests are all essay and VERY detailed.
I purchased this recorder to augment my note taking. It worked!
I was able to fill in the gaps in my written notes and ace the class.
The following semester, I had a Systems Analysis and Design class. I used the recorder to brainstorm my design and to dictate my report of the design. Again, this was a godsend! I could just run off at the mouth, enter the verbiage into the computer and organize/tweak it later.
The controls on the device are well organized and I never made any mistakes, like pressing 'record' when I just wanted 'playback'.
A good, solid little recorder.
