Visor Handy Cam

by RichBoston Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Oct 16 '00
Pros: Small, Convenient, Easy to Use
Cons: Suspect Image Quality
The main advantage the Visor and Visor Deluxe have over their similar rivals, the Palm IIIe and Palm IIIxe, is the Springboard expansion slot with a hopefully long array of viable options to choose from.

Palm has been able to offer similar,...

I love my Eyemodule 2

by chungmike , Oct 06 '01
Pros: Small and compact, big WOW factor, fun!
Cons: Fair picture quality, can use up lots of memory
I've been a Visor Deluxe user for the past 2 years. I love it, and I love the fact that I can add modules to expand the usability of my PDA. My first module was the Minstrel S modem, and recently I got the Eyemodule 2 (EM2).

My first...

Wash Away Wrinkles with Low Resolution!

by hakchang , Nov 21 '00
Pros: Gadget and Fun
Cons: Low Resolution and Awkward camera position
Finally! It has been a long wait since I got the Visor without any desirable modules. Eyemodule is one of the first to come out with something interesting, and to date, remains the only company producing a digital camera for Visor users. This is the...

The Eyemodule for Handspring Visor

by bengibbs , Jun 29 '00
Pros: Tiny, fun toy
Cons: Bad color pictures that are too small.
I was given the Eyemodule by a disappointed coworker - "Here you go, you can keep it, the picture quality if awful!" she said. Well, the quality is pretty bad if you use the color option but there are a lot of redeeming features to this tiny...

Eyemodule aka Spymodule!

by Fgiord01 , Sep 11 '00
Pros: Practically Weightless and inconspicuous
Cons: Quality, no flash or zoom
If you are the type who wants to have a digital camera so you save $$ on film and development and still have high quality pictures, then the eyemodule is NOT for you. On the other hand, if you are the type who loves to take little snapshots of...

I see you...and you're blurry!

by LegalOpinion , Oct 31 '00
Pros: Cheap, easy to use and convenient.
Cons: Photo quality is poor.
Let's get one thing straight from the start. If you want good quality digital photos, don't buy this accessory. You won't want to frame or make an album out of photos taken with this unit...unless you're lucky enough to snap Bigfoot or a UFO or Elvis....

coolness factor high

by rcr2 , Dec 26 '00
Pros: small, fun, cool, good black and white
Cons: bad color, small photo size, no on-board memory
Ever since I got my Handspring, I've been crowing about how cool the Springboard slot was. Digital cameras, MP3 players, GPS tracking, blah blah blah.

Finally, someone bought me one.

I was extremely excited to get the eyemodule. I...

Snap em up

by ianc4262 , Jul 24 '03

Cons: Makes you PDA a bit more bulky
I've been eyeing one of these puppies ever since I got my Handspring Prism about 2 years ago but the ...

Neat factor high. Picture quality iffy.

by mute , Aug 09 '00
Pros: Neat! Good software. Cute and tiny.
Cons: Kind of blurry pictures.

I just spent the last week wandering around Vermont, taking pictures of things with my Visor and eyemodule. For that, wow. It's very neat. This is a mighty cool module-- a tiny camera attached to the Visor I would have been carrying around anyway....

Great for the lay photographer

by deers , Jan 24 '01
Pros: Fun, convenient, trendy
Cons: Not the highest quality pictures
My biggest piece of advice on this product: Take pictures outdoors!! The quality of pictures taken with eyemodule is best in daylight. Even the brightest indoor lights don't help. Think of this as an outdoor camera.

If you are looking...

If only the quality was better

by ebaycadillac , Jul 12 '00
Pros: Easy to use, useful at times
Cons: Low-res pics, often fuzzy
The Eyemodule is a neat gadget for those who have a need for it. Don't expect it to be a digital camera - it's not. I borrowed my friends' Visor and this camera for a test run... here's my results.

Since size is so important, let me start...

Easy, Fun Digital Photos!

by cpatubo , Jan 22 '01
Pros: Fun gadget, convenient and spontaneous picture taking!
Cons: Limited resolutions, next to no focus control, no flash.
I have to admit, I wanted the EyeModule for the pure geek factor (read: I wanted it because it was such a cool gadget). I then realized there were also some useful applications for the little gadget.

At first I used it for reference for...

Eyemodule Factory Line Defective?

by homes , Feb 13 '01
Pros: they let me return it
Cons: received 2 defective units; does whole line have questionable quality?
Yeah, it was fun to use(when it worked). In the first couple hours of use, the unit began to fail. Pictures started fading away on the screen, and then going out altogether. Eventually, the camera would not take or display pictures at all anymore, not...

The ultimate reference spycam!

by Doctorow , Aug 29 '00
Pros: Cheap, tiny, unobtrusive, artsy
Cons: Not enough accessories, sync software's still primitive
There are some predictable objections to this little cam: it shoots low-res, it comes out blurry at times, blah blah blah.

Who cares?

The eyemodule kicks all kinds of ass. It's a teeny, utterly unobtrusive camera, and it shoots...
