Pros: They are cheap.
Cons: No entertainment & appalling staff.
The Bottom Line: Only use Aeroflot as a last resort.

We arrived home yesterday ( 2/1/05 )after our first & last experience of Aeroflot. We had 4 flights in total using a variety of aircraft,Airbus 320, 310 & the IL 96-300.
Nothing wrong with the aircraft other than there is no entertainment & the IL 96-300 felt like it was going to fall apart when the pilot braked hard upon landing.
Although I will say something in it's favour, it has the most legroom of any aircraft I have ever been on.
The cabin crew are a different story. I have never seen a more surly, ignorant, & ugly bunch of misfits in all my years of flying.
They ranged from a 16 stone 5ft 2in woman, a guy who must have been 65 if he was a day, to a 6ft 2in woman who was so ugly as to be frightening. Not one of them raised a smile in 26 hours of flying.
The food ranged from good to inedible, not unlike any other airline. If you want an alcholic drink onboard, I suggest you bring your own.
What a strange place Sheremetyevo airport is. The ceiling is covered in 30cm diameter cake tins, & there are many thousands of them, no doubt salvaged from a now defunct bakery in Cakograd.
A few dozen of them contain a 25 watt bulb which gives the place a very dreary look.
There is no bank, ATM or money changing facilities. You can use US Dollars, Euros, Roubles, or Sterling (notes only). If you choose the latter, they will give you change in Dollars. Strange but true.
The airport has 4 toilets, 2 of each, 2 of which were out of order on our visit. The airport has an Irish bar selling grossly overpriced Guiness & Lager at £3-50 pint.
This is a truly awful place & best avoided. Although I will say something positive about it, There was about 4 inches of snow there but they kept the place open & working normally. That amount of snow at Heathrow would have closed it for a month.
