Pros: Two words: Fried Cheesecake
Cons: Can be somewhat loud, the wait is sometimes lengthy.
The Bottom Line: If you like cheesecake, you simply MUST try Applebee's Fiesta Fried Cheesecake. It is to cheesecake lover's what "death by chocolate" is to chocolate lovers.

I can't drive by an Applebee's Restaurant without my mouth watering. When I originally visited Applebee's, I wasn't particularly impressed. I wasn't disappointed, but I wasn't thrilled either. The wait was a little bit on the long side, the atmosphere was a little too loud, but the service was decent, the food was probably above average, and the prices were decent. I was prepared to leave a satisfied, if not enthusiastic customer who would likely return on occasion. And then? A simple question changed my feeling all together.
Would you like dessert?
Hmmm, I hadn't thought about that. Let me glance at the menu. What's that? Fiesta Fried cheesecake? I wrinkled my nose, I love cheesecake, but fried? I don't know. It's really good? You have to say that, you work here. Okay, Okay, I'll try it.
What I discovered that day turned me into an Applebee's junkie. The waitress set in front of me a plate with an odd looking concoction on it. Whatever it was was smothered in strawberry sauce. Upon further examination, I discovered it looked sort of like a large large eggroll. An eggroll smothered in strawberries. A crispy, light, golden crust on the outside. Picking up my fork I promptly cut a piece, and was able to see and smell the wonderful aroma of cheesecake. It looked soft and delicious. I lifted a forkful to my mouth. As my lips closed over the tasty bite, I think I moaned.
Moaned?
Yes....moaned.
This stuff was positively sinful. A delightful combination of warm flaky crust and soft cool cheesecake. I had never and have yet to ever taste anything even remotely as wonderful.
As I savored each bite of the cheesecake, a thought hit me. This stuff must cost a fortune. It's like putting a price tag on a little taste of heaven. Can I afford this? With a small sense of dread I reached for the check. Turning it over I gasped.
All this? For $4.95?
My opinion of Applebee's went through the roof. Needless to say, I left a very happy customer who visits again regularly. Not only do I visit the restaurant regularly, but I also have been known to order just fiesta fried cheesecake from Applebee's and drive over to pick it up and take it home. It's sinful.
