V92 Modem Is The Best Money I ever Spent

Pros: Best Money I ever Spent. 1 minute to set up.
Cons: None. Love the V92 modem and speed makes a real difference.
The Bottom Line: I do not know if i can ever use a computer with out the V92 modem and high speed dial up again. I am Spoiled now.

I bought the best data V92 modem 6 months ago. Was going to buy the chip and install. After looking at computer and not seeing easy way to open box i bought the external modem.
So simple just connect phone line then connect modem to computer. No tools takes 1 minute. Download files and your done. Anyone can do it.
Speed yes speed is what this is all about. I am use the V92 modem with a dial up isp that has accelerator also. Very fast compared to normal dial up. I know people will say how much faster could it be. Take my word it makes a big difference in speed.
I can answer phone calls while online. You need isp that allows this or set modem to answer calls . You have option to hear modem speaker and how you want to answer phone calls. You can have it pop up that a call is coming in. You can click to answer it or ignore it. I set it up to answer calls as soon as i get one.
You can set up settings for more speed. You open settings then advanced and change them to maxium this does make a differences also.
I suggest everyone use a good dial up isp that has good speed and then get the Best data modem and maybe add web accelerator to it. Very fast and never had a problem except for some fly in ad sites that do not load correctly. No one would care they are selling you something anyway.
I use a high speed dial up isp at the site below. $12.95 a month no contract and answer phone calls while online.

One nice thing about the modem is you can see actual speed of isp your useing. This made me switch from netscape because i saw that i was not even getting 28800 of transfer all the time. A good rate is 48800 very fast with V92 and accelerator.
I paid $42 at a computer store. Was it worth it YES. Do i tell everyone to buy it yes. I love this it makes my internet use so much better. I will never have a computer with out v92 modem or high speed dial up with web accelerator again.
