The Bottom Line: I am simply dumbfounded that this vacuum cleaner ever got approved and sent to manufacturing. It would make great material for a stand-up comedian.
peggydunne's Full Review: Panasonic MC-V7312 Bagged Upright Vacuum
Now theres the Panasonic Upright, 7 stage Hepa filter, Power Cord Retractor, Quick Draw, EZ Bare Floor, 14 Dual Edge Cleaning, 12.0 Amps vacuum cleaner. This is a joke, right? I am making a video of what its like to use this thing, and sending it to Comedy Central, David Letterman, 60 minutes and Consumer Reports. I mean, you have to see it in action to fully appreciate the humor and know that Im not exaggerating. This has got to be the worst invention ever made. Who tested this thing?! It certainly was not a real person in a real home with any dust. The only thing this vacuum does is suck well - it can practically ingest a shoe that gets anywhere near its path. BUT: 1) it weighs a ton - and you call it lightweight? No, wait, was it Lou Ferrigno who tested it? To him, it may be lightweight, to me, lifting and using it will make me look like Lou Ferrigno; 2) in order to keep the motor cool, two gushes of air jettison out the sides by the Power Cord Retractor, so as you move the vacuum along bare floors, it blows the dust all over the place before the vacuum has a chance to suck it. (Not very allergen friendly.) I have to set the vacuum cleaner inside a cardboard box to keep those jet streams contained and get at the dust; 3) The accordion style tubing of the attachments is so poorly designed, that if you attempt to vacuum more than a foot or two, it pulls the vacuum cleaner and it topples over; 4) when you use the vacuum on rugs, if you dont plan your route and vacuum against the grain, its like pushing a Mack truck, and then when you pull it back, the front end bounces like a hipsta mobile. In addition to the front headlight, it should have rap pulsing from a speaker.
