soccerbowlz's Full Review: Microsoft Streets & Trips 2004 Full Version for PC...
Microsoft Streets & Trips claims to have many neat features to find addresses & plan trips. The box suggests that you can alternate your route with ease. I found this to be untrue. While it did pull up addresses with ease, planning a trip turned out to be an arduous event. I have spent a week trying to figure out how to avoid the 5 hour detour it seems to feel I need to take to get to Sequoia National Forest from Yosemite & then back again to get to Death Valley. The instruction manual, more like pamphlet, that came with the software might be helpful to someone that helped design it & then forgot some of the steps, but it doesn't even mention some of the icons. I bought this program to have an updated trip planner. I have a Rand McNally trip maker, but it is a 2000 version & I wanted to make sure I was using the best routes. While the Microsoft Streets & Trips 2004 cost the same as the Rand McNally Tripmaker Deluxe, the box on the Microsoft version seemed to have more exciting features that I thought would be nice to have. I have learned that glitter is nice to look at, but is not a necessity. While I can highlight my route with the Microsoft version, I will spend more time driving than I will enjoying my vacation, and have already spent more time planning my trip then should have been necessary.
