Pros: Great speed with USB 2.0 and 7200RPM, and the ability to stack 'em up!
Cons: The noisy fan gets to be really annoying.
The Bottom Line: A great drive for someone looking to backup lots of data and for people with multiple computers to transfer data.

I was looking for an external hard drive to expand my storage capacity of my notebook PC. Since both my drive bays were taken up, I decided to look for a USB 2.0 alternative. I found this on BestBuy.com for under $200. It comes with the drive itself, a 6' USB 2.0 cable (very nice), the A/C adapter and a cover for the top. An interesting feature is the fact that you can stack up to 4 drives on top of each other and they only will use 1 USB port. Sorta like having a RAID array. It's not a feature that I plan to use, but for someone looking for a lot of external storage, that might be a feature worth looking into. I've got backups of pretty much all of my media on this drive and it pretty much filled up, but I think that I am going to wait until my next desktop PC purchase to expand my storage space.
My only real gripe about this drive is the fact that the fan in the back of the unit is VERY noisy. It's really the only negative aspect of this product, other than the fact that the cover for the top of it always falls off if you set things on top of it.
