Plot Details: This opinion reveals minor details about the movie's plot.
You may not be familiar with the name Ali Landry but anyone from Louisiana will recognize the name quickly as Ali is from Breaux Bridge, Louisiana and served as a former Miss Louisiana as well as a former Miss USA. She was also the famous "Doritos Girl" who set off the sprinklers in the library in a memorable Doritos commercial. This is what led me to select Who's Your Daddy? from the Netflix selections. After reading the summary of the movie I wasn't expecting much from this but still wanted to check out Ali's acting abilities.
Who's Your Daddy
This movie has a very simple plot. It is about an adopted high school boy named Chris (Brandon Davis) who is not quite with the "in" crowd. Instead, he hangs out with the losers but is a nice guy. He is a reporter on the school newspaper staff and has a few friends other than the regular nerds that he hangs out with. His dream is to be one of the more popular guys BEFORE he graduates and he sets out to make plans to make this happen with his "loser" friends.
His school year is interrupted when he finds a visitor at the door informing him that his biological parents have both died and he has now inherited their empire. He is astounded to find out that his biological parents were the "Macks" and founders of "Heaven"-- an adult entertainment empire which also included a magazine, a mansion and "angels" who served as models for the magazine. As Chris tries to fit into his new role as CEO, Uncle Duncan is working overtime to find a way to steal the business away. Does Chris out-wit him or does the evil uncle win out? What happens when Chris returns to school?
My Thoughts On Who's Your Daddy
This movie was not near as bad as I anticipated and expected and with a title as such who wouldn't expect the worse? With that being said, the plot is cut and dry and very predictable. However, the movie was very tastefully done and did not include any totally nude scenes that I recall. It does contain adult/sexual content, some nudity and crude humor. As long as you go into watching this movie knowing this and comfortable with it, you should be fine with this movie.
I was delighted to see the acting in this movie to be much better than my expectations. Sure the plot was predictable but it was also quite humorous. There are some parts that were a bit too much and would have fit better in a movie like Animal House such as the cafeteria scene. Brandon Davis was very well matched to his part as Chris but I found that some of his close nerdy friends were a bit too much.
Ali Landry was delightful. Her role as an Angel, was one of the "good" angels. Her acting abilities were convincing and she played an excellent Angel!
One of the characters I really enjoyed was Brookes (Kadeem Hardison) as the Limo Driver. He was a hoot and lots of fun. His role added character, liveliness and humor to this movie.
I was very surprised to see the cameo of Wayne Newton in this movie as Peter Mack. That was pretty funny in itself.
This movie had a lot of resemblance to the Playboy empire, complete with the mansion, angels instead of bunnies and smoking jackets for the important guys. It had enough humor to keep you interested and eye candy for the guys. I would rank this movie about the same entertainment wise as the American Pie series.
There are no DVD extras with this movie. I think that adding the bloopers while filming this movie would have been quite entertaining.

Recommendation
This is not a movie to rush out and see. It's one of those middle of the road movies. If you enjoyed the American Pie series you will like the nerdy part of this movie. If you want to watch something different, this movie certainly qualifies. It's not bad, but then again it isn't the best either. I give Who's Your Daddy? 3 Stars for an average movie.
