What an intense movie! I don't know if I was just emotionally overloaded, or what... but I cried throughout the whole movie.
Crying is not the usual reaction to the movie, I was not only moved, but scared half out of my wits as well. My crying was mostly trying to put myself in this poor boys place, going through the whole emotional end of the situation. What a mighty horrific place to put yourself.
As was everyone else I know, I was astonished at the plot twist. Startled and a bit frazzled. I'd like to see it again, just to understand it even further. Though I do believe once is sufficient for a movie goer, it's not complexity that draws me back. Just curiosity more than anything. In a second viewing, it is refreshing to note just how exact and consistent with the ending they are throughout the whole film, never letting up once, infact even adding clues that hardly anyone catches on to... yet they are there!
It was a great movie, one of the most intense I've seen in a long time. A definite change of pace for Bruce Willis, but he was able to pull it off! The young child, Haley Joel Osment, was amazing! Every facial expression he shared was full of emotion and struggle, as was the film itself.
