After seeing this film, I wondered if our own president had seen it himself. Then I pictured our own president playing the part of Harrison Ford in the film and I laughed out loud. I can't think of any president in the near past that could have done anything close to what Ford did in the film. Nor could I imagine people actually holding on to the outside of a plane while it is going hundreds of miles per hour. Nevertheless, I guess the film did makes us wish our president was really like this, but all it was is a movie. Although it would seem hard to believe many of the actions in the movie made by the president, it still gave us a good feeling of patriotism and love for our country. It also made me hope that I can vote for Harrison Ford in the coming elections.

The film brings up an interesting idea, what if Air Force One was hijacked? What would happen and how would we deal with it? How would the country act in response to this and how would our government respond? Air Force One followed in the tradition of many other great plane hijack films yet this one was different because it wasn't you average joe being held prisoner but instead the president of the united states, his closest men, and his family as well. Even though the premise is far fetched, it is an interesting one to watch and contemplate on.

As always, Harrison Ford plays the action hero we love to root for. Many of us sometimes wish he were real and really did accomplish all these great action feats. What puts Harrison Ford in a class above the rest of the action heros is that he has a regular personality about him. You feel as if he is someone you could actually be friends with in real life instead of some very muscular man from eastern europe that you would never actually know about. With this role, he personifies our idea as the action hero everyone loves and even makes us feel more for what the office of the president of the United States means to us.
