BigC55555's Full Review: RZA as Bobby Digital in Stereo by RZA
I have been listening to hip-hop music for about a year now, and since the beginning, I have always loved the Wu-Tang Clan. I have bought nearly every Wu-Tang CD since then and I think RZA As Bobby Digital In Stereo is possibly one of the best Wu-Tang Solo albums. Below is the track list:
1. Intro- rating: N/A
2. B.O.B.B.Y.- This is one of my favorite tracks on the album. Its beat is pretty regular, but it is still pretty tight. The lyrics are good, and overall it is just a really good song. Rating: 5/5
3. Unspoken Word- I don't really care much for this beat. It is slow, and it is a bit annoying, but this doesn't stop Bobby from dropping one great verse after another, making this a pretty good song.- Rating: 4/5
4. Slow Grind African- Rating: N/A
5. Airwaves- This song is short and simple. The lyrics are decent but nothing really stands out about this song, but it is an okay track, but one of the weakest tracks on the CD. Rating: 3/5
6. Love Jones- The Song starts out with Bobby talking to his girl, and then goes into a slow beat song, and to me, I think this is the worst song on the CD, not to say that it's bad, just that compared to the rest of the CD, this track seems weak. Rating: 2/5
7. NYC Everything (Featuring Method Man)- This song starts out with Bobby rapping for about a minute and a half and is followed up by a nice verse from Method Man. It is one of the best songs on the CD. Rating: 4.5/5
8. Mantis (Featuring Tekitha/Masta Killa)- A sample from a Kung-Fu Flick start this song out which then a tight beat starts and Bobby starts rapping, and is followed by Tekitha, which kind of confuses me because isn't she usually a singer? It is a pretty tight verse, but Masta Killa finishes with what I think is the tightest verse in this song. Rating: 5/5
9. Slow Grind French- Rating: N/A
10. Holocaust (Silkworm) (Featuring Holocaust/Dr. Doom/Ghostface Killah)- This song starts out with Holocaust laying down a long verse. The verse is followed by Bobby, Dr. Doom, and Ghostface Killah (Who lays down a great verse)- Rating: 4/5
11. Terrorist (Featuring Killarmy/Black Knights)- For some reason, there is no Bobby Digital in this track. It is an alright song, but does not stand out at all on this CD.- Rating: 3.5/5
12. Bobby Did It (Spanish Fly) (Featuring Islord/Timbo King/Ghostface Killah/Jamie Sommers)- This could be my favorite song on the CD. Islord starts this song out and spits what I thing is the best verse on the album. The rest of this song is very good too. Rating: 5/5
13. Handwriting On The Wall (Featuring Ras Kass)- This song probably would be the best track on the CD, but it is only a minute and a half long. Ras Kass Starts rapping a tight verse and Bobby finishes with a tight verse. Rating: 5/5
14. Kiss Of A Black Widow (Featuring Ol' Dirty Bastard)- This song is okay except there is too much cursing in this song. It starts out with ODB yelling a bunch of stuff, but soon after Bobby starts rapping, and is followed by ODB, who in my opinion ruins this song. Rating: 2.5/5
15. Slow Grind Italian- Rating: N/A
16. My Lovin' Is Digi- This song is slow and to me is one of the worst songs on the CD. Rating: 3/5
17. Domestic Violence- This song is kinda cool. It starts out with his girlfriend talking, and then Bobby answers back with a long one verse rap. The only real problem is that it just isn't that great lyrically. Rating: 3.5/5
18. Project Talk (Featuring Baretta 9)- This is just a conversation between two people about the ghetto in rhyme form. It is pretty cool, but it is just too short. Rating: 4/5
19. Lab Drunk- Lyrically, there isn't really much to this song, but it is still a pretty good song, and deserves to be listened to. Rating: 3.5/5
20. F**k What You Think (Featuring Islord/9th Prince)- This Song is tight. Bobby, Islord, and 9th prince all rap a good verse. This is another one of the best songs on the album. Rating: 5/5
