| Duroman's Full Review: Black & Decker DB700 DustBuster Vacuum |
I have the Dustbuster DB700 which supposedly is the best one out right now, if I am not mistaken. I do not even see it listed here. I purchased it at Walmart for around $40, choosing it over some of the lower powered ones. I figured, "hey, I need a powerful vac." Well, as it turns out, it really isn't that powerful. It's got enough juice to run about 15 minutes, which is good enough for what it's made for, that is, cleaning up dust and shavings that lie around the desk top and in between keys on the keyboard. It does it's job fine in that regard. But don't expect mighty power flowing into and through your Dustbuster nozzle. Go get a Shop Vac for that. I have a recommendation for a good Shop Vac elsewhere in this forum that you might read about. This Shop Vac cost me about $10 more than the Black & Decker Dustbuster. It's the QSP Wet/Dry Shop Vac. Check it out.
But the Dustbuster DB 700 has one real BIG problem:
When I vacuum up backing soda, it spouts it out through the vent! I guess backing soda is so fine that it just finds it's way out, and that's a major disappointment! If this is the case, and it is, then one wonders what happens to the other invisible particles that you do not see.
You see, there is a very big problem with the Dustbuster, and it has nothing to do with longevity of the replaceable batteries or how it is insufficiently strong.
You might consider this when you purchase your Dustbuster!
