Pros: 32 online transactions, 6% interest, SASE for deposits
Cons: mail in deposits, 3-4 week set up time
The Bottom Line: Once you can convince yourself to get away from your neighborhood branch bank, give these guys a try!

| manky's Full Review: Security First |
After I finally got fed up with my local bank, I made the dive into the internet banking world. Offering me a 6% interest on my checking account (making the need for a savings account nil) I took up Security First Network Bank as my new bankers.
Best of all I get up to 32 online transactions a month. Which means I no longer have to write out checks (or pay for them, for that matter) lick and stamp envelopes, or any of that, as I pay my monthly bills. I can also send money to my uncle John (imaginary for now, just an example) in Arkansas through them if I'd like.
Other wonders of this online interaction is that I can see up to the minute totals, from either my register or my actual statement. You get online images of cleared checks (those that you actually write out yourself) as well.
The biggest set back for me was the intial setup that took about 3-4weeks, my advice would be to continue with your current bank until you have completely set up your SFNB account with the initial minimum amount, then make you final transfer of funds. The other problem is making your deposits: they must be mailed in. Granted they will provide you with Self Addresses Stamped Envelopes as you ask for them. However, if your employer offers automatic deposit this will not be a problem at all. So far the turn over for deposits has not been longer than a week for me.
I've had great success with the customer service representatives, and immediate answering whenever I've called.
