| wretchheathen's Full Review: Kodak DC265 Zoom Digital Camera |
I have packed this in my diaper bag, to the park, to the mall, on the plane. It has never failed me. I was devoted to my Minolta 35 mm for years. I love the auto focus point and click camera but I want high quality photos. Both of these cameras give me that. However. the digital lets me preview right now and I do not have to print right now to see if I got what I wanted. so the savings alone make it a fantastic camera.
I get crisp and clear pictures indoors or out! low light is not a limiting factor. this is high quality and durable. I have shot over 11000 photos in the last 3 years with this camera and it is as good today as it was the day I bought it. Recently we observed the lunar eclipse, and I was able to get spectacular photos with the use of two simple polar filters while some people had invested $thousands$ of dollars on big equipment. I am deliriously happy with my results at a fraction of the cost.
I do not spend precious minutes, hours downloading my photos. I pop the card out, into my computer and drag and drop. other cameras (Cannon & Jam Cam) require the cables, the long drawn out process of transferring one photo at a time, eating batteries left and right. I just do not have time to nurture high maintenance cameras. I started out with a 64 Megabyte card, but less than a year ago, upgraded to a 124 Mb card and while I rarely fill it up even at the highest resolution, on an outing, it is nice to not have to worry about space. The Kodak is a low maintenance work horse.
my children do not slow down for anything, let alone a digital camera that can't keep up! it is the best camera that I could have ever gotten. The preview LCD is terrific for making sure that I have 'got the shot'. It is essential when trying to keep up with 5 children going in different directions.
I have accidentally dropped it off the top of a car and it got some surface scratches to the body, but absolutely no effect to the camera.
I love the Kodak batteries that came with it. they are rated 1600 Mah, and I never feel like they run out too fast. The battery life has been impressive.
