Ericka_Larson's Full Review: Zantac 75 Tablet Relief of Heartburn 60 Each
This stuff is a life saver! I actually have a prescription for Ranitidine, the generic name for Zantac 75, but when I'm out on the road and don't have my prescription with me (yes, I'm forgetful) I head for the nearest drugstore and purchase a packet of Zantac 75. I can't get one of those little pink tablets down inside of me fast enough.
Anyone who's had acid-reflux knows what I'm talking about. Anyone who's had an ulcer knows what I'm talking about. A lot of times you'll end up on Prevacid or Prilosec (you know, the purple pill on TV?), but after you've taken those for a while the doctor will take you off of them and then sometimes they'll put you on Ranitidine. This is for minor ulcers and acid-reflux, by the way, my mother has it big time and she's on Prilosec every day for the rest of her life (that's something I DON'T want!).
Anyhow, Zantac 75 is the one for me because it's the least likely to cause problems for other medication interaction (and I'm on about a dozen other medications--don't ask) and I haven't experienced any side effects (me, Queen of Reactions, allergic to Tylenol, SHEESH!). The only thing I don't like is that it isn't effective immediately. If I want immediate effectiveness (like the acid is in my throat) I take Extra-Strength Gaviscon, liquid format.
INDICATIONS: Relieves heartburn associated with acid indigestion and sour stomach. Prevents heartburn associated with acid indigestion and sour stomac...More at Amazon Marketplace
