| jlhin's Full Review: Tylenol Allergy Sinus |
I would begin my review by saying, it's that time of year, but unfortunately for me, almost anytime of the year is a bad time for my allergies and sinuses. This time of year, the weather gets cold, reverts back to warm and then gets cold again. This of course plays quite a nasty little trick on my sinuses. I wind up with sneezing, a stuffy nose and the inability to breathe through my nostrils. I have a favorite sinus medication that I usually reach for, but, lately, it hasn't provided me with the relief I need. So, upon the suggestion of a friend, I tried Tylenol Allergy Sinus. I was a bit worried at first, I had tried their Tylenol Severe Allergy previously without success.
~*~Cost~*~
For a value sized package of Tylenol Allergy Sinus containing 60 caplets I paid $6.79 at my local Wal-Mart. This product also comes in a regular size, but I am unsure of the price.
~*~What A Difference!~*~
Anyone who has suffered from sinus problems and allergies know what it's like to finally get relief! Tylenol Allergy Sinus is recommended for relief from sinus congestion, nasal congestion, sinus pain and headache, runny nose, itchy, watery eyes, and sneezing. At the time I took this medication I was suffering from a majority of those ailments.
With my previous medication, I received relief from my symptoms in an acceptable amount of time, but was really quite surprised with how quickly Tylenol Allergy Sinus went to work! Within 45 minutes, my stuffy nose began to clear slightly, allowing me to breathe normally once more. Within an hour, my sneezing and watery eyes had slowed down a great deal. Within an hour and a half, the congestion and sinus pressure was relieved.
Tylenol Allergy Sinus recommends that dosages be given every four to six hours as needed. I didn't need another dose until nearly five hours later, which for me was practically a miracle! My stuffy nose, sneezing and congestion was kept at bay and I was able to breathe through my nose once more. A second dose once again worked quickly and effectively at providing me relief from my symptoms. A third dose wasn't required until almost eight hours later. My third dose was my last dose as my sinuses decided to retreat and end their evil pranks on my poor nose.
Dosage Directions:
Adults & Children 12 & Older: 2 caplets every 4-6 hours. Do not exceed 8 caplets in 24 hours.
Children Under 12: Not recommended as can cause overdose.
I experienced slight drowsiness from taking this medication. Fortunately, the drowsiness wasn't unbearable and I was able to function normally throughout my day without desperately needing to shut my eyes. With other sinus medications I have used, I would literally sleep for hours on end after taking it. I experienced no adverse side affects or allergic reactions to this medication.
This medication is not to be taken by nursing or pregnant women.

~*~Overall Opinion~*~
