Pros: Untangles hair, light conditioning
Cons: Smell is WAY too strong, may not be for all hair types
The Bottom Line: Will not work for severely damaged/fried hair. This is a prevention/protection product. Smell is REALLY strong.

| Buggie32's Full Review: Thermasilk Light Conditioning Mist |
These were the reasons why I felt like I needed a leave in conditioner for my hair: 1. After having my hair permanently straightened, my hair was a little bit dried out, especially at the ends. 2. since my hair is so straight now, it seems like I get ALOT more tangles after i wash my hair, even with the use of conditioner. 3. I blow dry my hair every single time I wash my hair, which is basically everyday. 4. I got blonde highlights on my black hair which means some parts of my hair are bleached. So all in all, my hair has been through some truama. It, however, is not fried or really damaged, just drier than normal. (This product WILL NOT work for people with fried hair. It just simply isn't conditioning enough for that.)
So with all that said, I decided to go out and get extra conditioning because I've tried deep conditioners and they make my scalp really oily and it just seemed heavy with alot of build up. Since I've heard that Thermasilk is good for people who blow dry their hair a lot, I decided to give it a try.
The Product: Thermasilk Heat Activated Light Conditioning Mist is a leave in conditioner that is supposed to improve the condition of all hair types (claims the bottle).
It also claims that:
~ Its ideal for hair that needs a LIGHT conditioning. This is an important because after using it, I noticed that it is NOT a very strong conditioner so if you have really thick and curly hair, it might not give you the conditioning you really need.
~ Formulated not to weigh hair down.
~ Contains UV protectant and anti-oxidents to help protect color treated hair.
~ Heat activated to improve the condition of hair.
The product comes in a 10.5FL. bottle much like hair spray.
Usage: This product is pretty easy to use. This is what I do and I think this is the best way to use the product. I've experimented =P After you wash your hair (use your normal conditioner also b/c this product isn't as conditioning as normal conditioner), towel dry (I find it ideal to let it air dry for maybe 5 min after you towel dry), DO NOT brush your hair yet, spray conditioner liberally on hair focusing on the areas that are especially damaged (usually its the ends of your hair)(I would also hold my breath during this moment because sometimes if your house isn't well ventilated enough, the smell is strong enough to make you want to start coughing, yea, thats one of the bad things about this product), after you've sprayed it on your hair, brush your hair (this product seems to help untangle my hair), wait another 10 min or so and then blow dry and style as normal.
Results: I've used this product for about 6 months or so. The problem here is that I don't really know if this product has improved or helped my hair rather, I think it's just MAINTAINED it so it won't be damaged further. I would like to think of it as "prevention". I have not noticed any split ends, my hair is softer, and feels less dry (even with blow drying on high heat everyday). My hair is actually in rather good condition, but this may not be the result of the leave in conditioner alone. This product will NOT weigh your hair down or leave a residue. The smell is rather strong and it does linger in your hair for quite some time, so I think some people may not like the smell. The bottle lasts you a while and it wasn't that expensive.
The bottom line is that this conditioner is not very strong. It WILL NOT work for people with really damaged hair, it just isn't conditioning enough. This product is for people who have normal or slightly damaged hair that would like to PROTECT their hair from daily damage such as blow drying, coloring, using curling/straightening irons, harsh wind, strong sun etc. My main point that I want emphasize is: This product will not fix anything. (If your hair is damaged and fried, try a deep conditioner or a heavy leave in conditioner) It is protection and prevention.
