Pros: powerful, one hand/finger operation, looks neat, easy to load

The Bottom Line: If you only need one touch, why would you go with a standard stapler?

| lilsquibb's Full Review: Staples One Touch Stapler with Staple Gun Power |
Several times a year in my daytime job I have large projects that require a lot of stapling. Two years ago I got tired of the process gather the pile, pick up the stapler, staple, return the stapler and repeat. Usually this took place while copying so I needed to be able to streamline the process as best as possible. This is when I spied my coworkers oddly designed stapler The Staples One Touch Stapler with Staple Gun Power. Of course I had to snag it to try it out. Anything could be better than what I was doing. After a couple of seasons of this, I had to ask for my own as a standard stapler was no longer good enough.
Touch Me Once
At first glance the Staples One Touch Stapler is odd in appearance with its rounded design. Measuring in basically the same size as a standard stapler, the One Touch is crafted out of sturdy plastic, with a rubber-coated top. Embedded in the rubber coating is a red tear-drop that indicates where to push down. The base is also rubber to grip the desk. The One Touch stapler takes standard staples but can do so much more with them than a standard stapler. Loading the staples is easy after you have done it once. Basically open it up, slide out the lever and slide the row of staples in.
So what Makes the One Touch so Special?
Like the name indicates the One Touch Stapler has staple gun power. When you press down on the top, you can hear a loud pop indicating the staple has gone through. You can definitely tell it has a lot of power behind it. I have noticed I can tackle a slightly larger stack of papers without getting cockeyed staples using the One Touch stapler. You know that stack where you start to loose the back papers since they arent really secured by the staple.
The other specialty trait is that it is truly a one touch stapler. All I have to do is place my papers in the stapler and press down on the top and it staples. This is almost as good as an electric stapler. This saves so much time and energy while completing a large staple job not to mention saving an already pain ridden hand from squeezing a stapler. Literally you can use one finger to operate the One Touch Stapler. Id like to see someone try that with a Swingline.
The Staples One Touch Stapler does run more expensive than a standard stapler around $15 I would guess. Luckily my employer foot the bill for it, but I would have bought it myself if they didnt I love it that much. I highly suggest it for all your stapling needs.
