This is my favorite Chinese food restaurant in Seattle. The location is good (it's pretty centrally located). The food is wonderful and the staff seems to cater to specially ordered items. They also seem knowledgeable and helpful. I have both dined at the restaurant and called ahead for take-out. I am extremely happy with both services. My only complaint is that the north end of their delivery border is a mere 5 blocks from my house!! Also, one can sit in the back and watch the preparation of the home made pot stickers (or dumplings, before they are pan seared). Just watching them being made is entertaining and adds to the ambiance, but eating the result is very nice, indeed!
Food:
The Snappy Dragon Fried Rice is exceptional. It's the equivalent of the house fried rice anywhere else. This dish has chicken, pork, beef, and shrimp in it. They also make their dumplings (pan seared, they are called pot stickers) on site....with either a pork or vegetable filling (or you can get a combination of both). You can order these steamed or the traditional way, and you can get an order of 26 of them (perfect to keep on hand for later meals) Their sweet and sour dishes are very good as well.
Service:
I have found the staff to be attentive and knowledgeable about the dishes. There always seems to be lots of people working there. I have yet to order an item and not get what I ordered, how I ordered it. I think they have realized that the satisfaction of their customers is what keeps people coming back.
Decor:
This place doesn't have your traditional chinese restaurant decor. It's a fairly standard looking place, except for the children's drawings that cover the walls in the waiting area.
