| imation1000's Full Review: Toshiba Portege 320CT (PA1274U-T2A) PC Notebook |
The Portege 320CT is an above average ultra-portable lightweight laptop. It weighs in at 4 lbs and even with its extended life battery still remains under 5 lbs. The LCD display is sharp with a .22 dot pitch. The processor is up to running even Windows 2000, however Windows 98 is more than sufficient.
The main drawback of ultralight, ultraportable laptops is the fact that the CD drive and floppy drives are external.
In the case of the 320ct, the Floppy drive can only be attached when the port replicator is installed. (The port replicator is necessary to attach parallel and serial devices. (ex. printers).
Another beef is the smallish keyboard, the keys are too close to each other to allow comfortable typing.
It is an excellent used laptop choice for students, and individuals seeking a lightweight computer at a reasonable expense.
