| kld718's Full Review: Oxford Hanging Box Bottom Folder w/Small Pocket St... |
When I moved out onto my own some years back, I decided that I needed to become more organized with my paperwork. I was shopping in Wal-mart one day when I noticed that they had a filing cabinet on sale for $19.99. I immediately decided to buy it. I knew enough to realize that I would need file folders and something to keep them in to hang on the thin metal pieces that were on the inside of the cabinet.
I found these Oxford Standard Hanging File Folders in Office Max and decided to pick a box. They came in a plain cardboard box bottom with blue/white colored top that slides onto the bottom half of the box.
Twenty-five folders come in one box, along with 2 tabs and blank heading inserts. The tabs are made of plastic and can be easily inserted into the small holes on the inside of the file folders. The blank inserts are made of hard paper and can be folded to fit into the plastic inserts.
The file folders can hold sheets of paper up to size 8 ˝ x 11. Each folder can hold up to 150 sheets of paper comfortably. The bottom half of the hanging folder contains places to crease the folder to make it able to hold more paper without the tops of the documents sticking up out of the top of the folder. These hanging folders also have a small pocket on the front, inside of the folder itself for storing small loose documents. It is just a small manila colored strip that comes in handy with those small loose papers that everyone looses.
~*~ My Thoughts ~*~
Oxford has made quality office products for years now, and can be depended on to satisfy all of your office needs. These folders are green, so they are not very attractive, but when they are hidden inside your filing cabinet it doesnt make any difference.
Most of the documents I have are letter sized or smaller documents. So these file folders are the perfect size for my needs. They fit perfectly in my filing cabinet and are the perfect size for the file folders that I bought to go in the hanging folders. We also use these hanging folders at work in our numerous cabinets.
The box of Oxford Standard Hanging File Folders come in a twenty-five pack which is the perfect size for what I had to use them for. At the time I didnt have a lot of paperwork, now that I am in my own home, I have found that I have used the whole box of folders. If I can remember correctly, I am pretty sure that I paid about $5.99 for a box of 25 of these hanging folders. That was a sale price, the regular price was around $10.99 for these, so I would try and catch them on sale if you can manage it.
If you have a filing cabinet, then youre going to need some file folders. Might as well make them Oxford. They are of good quality and can be used for home offices or at work.
