| 4-1-1's Full Review: Nike Jordan Trunner |
Most of the reviews posted here at Epinions about Nike's Jordan Trunner line of shoes are old.
The most recent reviews are dated in the summer of 2000 and they provide very enthusiastic recommendations concerning this brand.
What has not being reported is some very important information concerning this line of shoes: they have been recalled by Nike (July 2001) because the shoes feature a thin metal strip in their construction that has been known to pop out from the heel and actually cut the wearer.
Indeed, over 450,000 pairs of these shoes have been recalled due to this safety defect.
The model names and numbers involved in the recall included:
Men's Shoes:
Trunner "Bubble" -- models 136055-001, 136055-102, 136055-002, 136055-401
Women's Shoes:
Trunner "Bubble" -- models 833002-141, 833002-101
Trunner 136022
Trunner "Mid" 136033
Trunner "2000" 136039
I do not own a pair of these shoes, but I would caution people who buy used shoes at thrift shops or yard sales to be wary of this important safety concern.
Important: Check your closet. If you own this shoe, you may be eligible for a free replacement.
