Candice923's Full Review: Mary Kay Timewise 3 In 1 Cleanser
A girlfriend of mine at UAA has a friend that sells Mary Kay products. I was looking for a new cleanser that wouldn't dry out my skin and my friend, Karina, suggested that I try Time Wise. She just went on and on about how wonderful it made her skin look and feel. She said, "It's a little expensive, but it's totally worth it." Let me tell you, I almost choked when I saw the $18 price. Nonetheless, I had just gotten paid, so I decided to give it a shot.
I'm a Noxzema girl. Unfortunately, Noxzema tends to dry my skin out a bit. But, my regimen consists of Noxzema, Clearasil toner and Biore moisturizer. All of those products together come to about $15-- Less, of course, if I have a coupon of some sort. But, Karina insisted that TimeWise would change my opinions of everything.
TimeWise is a white cream with little green and blue beads in them. The cream acts as a cleanser while the beads act as an exfoliator, anti-oxident and moisturizer. The cream is a little heavy for me, but it leaves my skin feeling fresh and without any of that filmy feeling that regular soap leaves. It doesn't have the medicine smell of Noxzema either, so that's nice.
I don't particularly care for the packaging. It's in an upside-down white bottle with a pink flip-top. The bottle sort of thins out towards the top, which makes it relatively hard to squeeze. Plus, you only get 4.5 ounces of the stuff for that $18 price tag.
Apparently, you're supposed to see a reduction in wrinkles. Well, I'm only 24 and I don't have any wrinkles, so that benefit really didn't mean anything to me. However, I did feel a difference in my skin's softness and firmness. That was terrific. But, it didn't help out with my blemishes. I still use my Noxzema for that.
Personally, I think that this product is geared towards older women. I'd like to think that I'm investing in a good future for my skin by using this product, but it really didn't make a huge difference for me. I'll stick with my drugstore facial regimen.
There is nothing wrong with this product. As a matter of fact, I am going to give what I have left to my mother to find out what she thinks about it. I do recommend it to you, but not if you don't have any wrinkles or don't have a lot of money to blow on skin care. (In other words, this isn't a product for college students.)
