Pros: One button access to set equipment for each activity. This is wonderful
Cons: Poor instructions with remote. Small LCD may be difficult to read if you need glasses.
The Bottom Line: Very capable of configuring multiple devices with the push of one button. Reduced remotes used from 4 to 1 and retains all functions for each device.

This remote sets everything to the correct settings for each activity. I had a problem reverting back from watching a movie to watching TV. The AV would not change its setting, I later realize that I had connected the cables incorrectly and moved them. This corrected the problem.
There is software and a USB cable that comes with the remote that allows the computer to communicate with the remote. When starting the software it takes you to their website and runs like a wizard. This is where your remote configurations are stored.
Very handy for configuring the remote as long as you keep it simple. Try to think like a beginner and all will go well.
The remote will learn commands from your remote directly but you have to point the back end of the Logitech remote toward the front of your previous remote. I figured this out by looking at the picture since there are no instructions. Learning must also be done while the remote is attached to the computer and you are logged into your account on their website.
Very robust and capable remote but it has very little support for how to configure and how to use the remote.
The two key items to know is that if you want to control one device then you must push the DEVICE button. It will then display the list of devices for that activity on the LCD screen and then you may choose your device. The next key item is that you may have to push the NEXT button to scroll through the features for that device on the LCD screen.
Once you get used to the remote the functions become more intuitive, but definitely not during the initial stages of use. Take time to learn the remote and you will be happy. Do not expect to configure and use without tweaking the settings. This may take a couple tries but the software allows you to stop to confirm the settings. You can go back and adjust the settings at anytime but make sure that you update the remote so that the changes are in the remote and you can confirm the changes.
This is the second universal remote that I purchased and the first one that does what I want it to do. Bright House's remote is supposed to be a programmable universal remote and it didn't work. This remote has made both my girlfriend and I happy. She can watch or listen to what she wants and I don't have to figure out what she did since it is no longer messed up when I get it.
