While I was looking around for a new summer fragrance I came across this light green beauty. It is Lancôme’s Aroma Tonic Energizing Body Treatment Fragrance and a completely unique scent. I liked it because it was long lasting, airy and good for the skin. This not considered a just a perfume, but a fragrance that is nourishing for the skin. I am not a usual Lancôme customer, but this is an exception.
The Scent
Let’s this is a little difficult to describe in words, but I’ll try. It reminds me of Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea Fragrance (a favorite). It has hints of Green Tea and some notes of lemon/lime. There seem to be other floral influences and it not at all one of those overpowering winter-like fragrances. It is just a pleasant scent that people will notice, but not in the sense that it is overwhelming.
When to Use It:
It marketed to be more of a body splash and skin treatment. It is so refreshing and energizing on those hot, humid summer days. I would not consider it suitable for an evening out on the town. A good time to put it on is after a shower and then rub it in to your skin. It will last for quite some time. It will just make you feel energized and ready to face the day.
What’s in it ?
The main ingredients mentioned were: Pure Vitamin E (anti-oxidant and skin protector), patented Hydroxy Acid (gives a glow and soften skin), Sweet Lime, Green Mate, and Osmanthus.
The Bottle:
Aroma Tonic is in a lightly green tinted glass bottle. It is kind of flattened cylinder bottle with a green sparkly top and nozzle. The cap is light green and frosted. It is easy to keep a hold of and attractively packaged.
Final Notes
I strongly recommend Aroma tonic because it is a simply wonderful scent. It is affordable and so useful. A good summer fragrance to keep you refreshed with healthy skin. Try a sample of it and it will grow on you. Different fragrances mix differently with everyone’s skin.
