I am starting my review by telling everyone, I have read ALL of the reviews rated VH on this particular mascara. When I bought it a few weeks back, I ran home and scanned over the star ratings and was horrified! I spent $7.99 on a mascara that sucks! I wanted to take it right back, but then I decided I should try it as we all have different experiences. Indeed mine is quite different from the other reviewers who garnered VH on their reviews.
Not only am I going to address Loreal Paris claims but the reviewers who had unpleasant experiences too-aren't you excited? This review is a far cry from what is on Epinions as of today~
Packaging
Reinvented, Loreal's new packaging is a 3D matte silver tube of .27 ounces of mascara. The lid twists off, which can be hard to get it perfectly aligned once opened but isn't a real problem. The brush is curved and is a nice length so it gives you full coverage, even reaching those tiny, in the corner of your eye lashes.

Place brush at base of lashes and gently sweep up to tip. Removes easily with soap and water.

I am a die hard Estee Lauder mascara user. for me, there is no comparison. I hate the flakes, the residue but for the intensity of full magnetic lashes its all worth it. So starting out I was very skeptical about using this, however I have found:
Application is a breeze. The curved wand gets those tiny lashes I couldn't reach before. I no longer need two coats of mascara for dramatic lashes! Volume is boosted 2xs-my lashes are plump & full.
I wore this to bed one night to see if I woke up with raccoon eyes and flakes, a usual for me with my Estee mascara. After 8 hours of intense AC deprivation in 80 degree weather I was amazed that my mascara still looked as good as when I first applied it. none had flaked off or seeped away from my lashes.
I get the same effect from my old brand, full, longer lashes, with great staying power even in the south's harsh humid climate. No more burn from my mascara running for higher ground.
It comes off easily with soap and water. No need for makeup remover!
Now on to what other reviewers had to say...
Since I don't believe in naming names...I'll just pick out a few chief complaints and tell you my experience.
It doesn't come in waterproof.. Well, it does now-although I have no need for waterproof mascara at this time, it is an option!
Drying time after application takes forever! After I applied one coat, watching the clock, it was only 1 minute after I put it on that it had dried. To try & recreate this result for this particular reviewer I applied another coat, still approximately one minute and my lashes were dry and ready to go!
Flaking! I have had not one single incident of flaking. I tend to pick at my eye lashes after a few hours, especially if they feel matted or clumped. I can use my nails to PULL it off my lashes, but it has not yet once flaked off. This makes me very happy, because if your wearing lenses or have sensitive eyes, you do not want flakes-period!
It Clumps! I cannot imagine how many coats you would need to get this to clump. If you use your mascara properly, rotating the brush instead of pumping it, and pull it straight out removing the excess mascara from the end of the wand you wont have any clumps. Applied per directions I have not had even one eyelash stick to another. I do not and refuse to use a comb on my eyelashes. I simply do not have the time. Nor would I use a mascara that forced em to do so.
Smudging The only problem I have had with this smudging is when I bawled my eyes out over a movie. Thats when you need the waterproof. It dries so fast, it doesn't have time to smudge, and it although it does dry fast it doesn't make your lashes hard yet they are not soft enough to lose your mascara if you were to brush anything up against them.
Raccoon Eyes I haven't had raccoon eyes once. Not once. What else can I say?

The Verdict
I have eyelashes that are semi long, and very black. This works extremely well for me and at only $8.00 a tube I may never go back to Estee Lauder. I love the performance and the length of time it lasts. I don't have to reapply from day to evening and I only have to use one coat to achieve voluptuous lashes. As far as lengthening, your never going to get the faked lash look without the falseys-thats just a pipe dream if you think different. Any mascara that can define, volumize, keep lush and lovely is a must have in my book. I can give this product any more kudos, it does exactly what it says and costs considerably less than department store brands....IM HOOKED!
You have to TRY IT for yourself......I am so HAPPY I didnt take this back!
