Pros: good display, price, appearance
Cons: barometer inaccurate, customer service, made in China, what do you expect...
The Bottom Line: If you want an altimeter/barometer watch, spend some money and get a Suunto or Casio that is recommended. This one doesn't work.

| paraglider's Full Review: Huger AT200 Sports Altimeter Watch |
I purchased this watch as an inexpensive route to having an altimeter and barometer at hand, with the benefit of a thermometer and your other basic watch functions. I ordered my watch from Partshelf.com, along with some other merchandise. It arrived quickly and well packaged.
At first I thought the watch was great, until I realized the barometer would not set to the current conditions. Apparently there is no way to calibrate it. You CAN calibrate the altimeter to your current elevation, and it works FAIRLY well, although it is not REAL accurate. The thermometer measured pretty accurately OFF your wrist; on your wrist it reads high.
I e-mailed the Oregon Scientific tech people and asked how to set the barometer. I got a short reply-- "Call the 800 number". Called them, got some ditzy gal who didn't have a clue. She told me to "set it down somewhere for a few days and it will measure correctly". Well, I thought she may be telling the truth, so did that. Didn't help. Read consistently low.
Next step was to return the watch. Oregon Scientific said to return it to the vendor. Partshelf didn't want it but finally they said "OK" and so I sent it back. About a month later and five or six nice e-mails trying to kindly remind them I would like a watch back someday, and I got the watch. I was NOT impressed with Partshelf.com's service, and will NOT be ordering anything else from them. Too bad 'cause they have some nice stuff. (Sorry Sharon-- it pays to keep communication lines open with customers)...
So, I got a new watch in the mail. Guess what? Same problem. While the altimeter reads fairly accurately, and the thermometer fair, the barometer is constantly WAY low in it's readings. I again e-mailed O.S. and asked them how to set the barometer. No Reply.
I am a pilot and hoped the watch would be a useful tool when flying the paraglider or the airplane. I guess I will know what time it is, at least. I will avoid Oregon Scientific products from here on out. Huger is marketed by them (it is a Chinese import). AKA the Oregon Scientific AT-200 watch.
