Cons: poor service by property management company; fills rooms with noisy youth groups; slow elevators
The Bottom Line: Don't stay at any Boardwalk Beach property until you completely understand the pricing and that there is no customer service.

Having fallen victim to a bait and switch scam run by the Boardwalk Beach resort last spring, I can tell you if you decide to stay at this location, you must get all of your reservation information clearly agreed upon in writing up front.
Our experience was as follows:
My wife and two children and I booked a "buy 4 nights get 1 free" special over the phone directly with the property...or so we thought. Turns out a management company deals with reservations. When we checked out the front desk wanted to charge us for the additional night and claimed they could not resolve the issue because the person in sales must have been 'mistaken.' Using fine print on the check-in form which explained 'regular rate' they claimed that I had waived any claim to any special deals and should have complained then.
We gave them every opportunity to make it right and I finally told them that if they didn't honor the special (and I had a confirmation number for the special rate) that we would never return to the property and that I would be sure to tell everyone about the experience.
This area of Panama City Beach used to be a great spot, at the corner of Thomas Drive and Front Beach Road, but there is so much construction on the many towering condo's around, that it has lost most of its charm. There is a great view north toward the lagoon and the Super Wal-Mart beyond. Get beachfront and as high on the tower as you can get for great views. Get non-beachfront view and as high as you can for privacy.
