The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a juicer and would like good, pure juice spend the extra $100 and get Jack Lalannes Power Juicer and leave this on the shelf.

The Good

The few things that are good about the Hamilton Beach Juicer are that it is a reasonable price. Coming at only $29.99 it is very affordable for all consumers. It does juice very well. Almost no effort is used when pushing the fruit through the stainless steel cutter. It did come with a recipe booklet with 20 great recipes. It has a 300-watt motor and a 20 ounce juice container and a very large removable pulp bin. There are 2 safety locks; one on either side of the unit and it is a very nice looking and small enough to fit on most counters.

The Bad

The juicer was incredibly loud, louder than most vacuum cleaners. The feed tube was very small and could only fit one slice of fruit in at a time. The pulp was not dry like other juicers it was relatively wet and did contain more juice. The juice this unit extracted was not pure, when I filled the juice container there was 16 ounces of foam and 4 ounces of juice after juicing 4 apples, It says in the manual to put your juice through a coffee filter if you would like it pure but that takes another 30 minutes. And the worst part about the juicer is the clean up, it does break down into 7 parts 6 of which can be washed in the sink. Of all the components that can be washed in the sink the cutter is extremely hard to clean. To clean the base of the unit you have to take a dampened sponge to it but it is nearly impossible to get completely clean. Juice comes out of every crack possible; I had to clean the power switch because it was covered with juice. And most of the time there will be more pulp inside the unit than there will be in the pulp bin.

My Opinion

In my opinion this juicer is not a good investment. It is a great price but not a good product. Its too loud, too hard to clean and not a very reliable product.
