Pros: price, easy to find locally
Cons: not enough layers, better for a burp cloth than a diaper
The Bottom Line: Great for a burp cloth, but get a good twill DSQ if you plan to cloth diaper.

| settle_down's Full Review: Gerber Diaper Service Diapers |
I got these with my first baby and they are so thin and porous that they are useless as a diaper.
Why I hate them:
The weave of the fabric is too loose to be very absorbent.
The center is filled with polyfill, which may be nice for helping maintain shape, but is not absorbent.
A newborn can completely saturate this diaper - without the world's best cover, the urine runs right through.
I have only found them in one size, and it would only fit a newborn. After about 3 months, it would be a real stretch to get them on (and my babies are thin.)
A few positive points:
These are VERY easy to find. I've even seen them in the grocery store! Every discount store I've ever been in has them (Walmart, K-Mart, Target, etc.)
They are very soft and good for wiping faces.
What I learned:
After using a diaper service for a few months, and seeing the difference between this fabric and cotton twill, I bought my own from clothdiaper.com. I use the 4x8x4 premium prefold diapers (and the 4x6x4 infant size) and highly recommend them. As your child gets older, you may still need to double up for overnight - and you'll figure out when! After 4 babies these really hold up. The Gerber ones won't make it that far. These make a nice burp rag, but get a good-quality DSQ if you want to diaper with it.
