Good at the beginning, but wait

Pros: Operating system updatable with free internet downloads, accurate.

Cons: Display screen started dropping out after 14 months, suspect a cheap quality display connector.

I suspect a cheap quality connector between the PC board and the display screen. After 14 months (just 2 months after the warrantee expired) several horizontal display lines started going blank. 4 gone now. I have treated this GPS like fine crystal, and it still dies.
