Pros: The smallest side by side fridge you can find.
Cons: Ice maker door stays open half the time.
The Bottom Line: If you need a small fridge to fit a tight spot this is the one for you. Ice maker has problems but other wise fridge is fine.

Ok the Ge refrigerator was my only choice for my new kitchen.
First no it is not only one i wanted it is only one that fit the space for fridge. My first mistake was when i remodeled my kitchen i thought that the kitchen company i bought cabinets and appliances would work out all the details.
I did all the remodeling myself. I have done more than a few projects and it was no big deal to me. The problem was that most kitchen places do not think things over they just want to sell to you and hope it all goes well.
I remodeled kitchen in 2 weeks but it took 1 month to get counter top fixed because company gave me wrong edge on it. Then when i had appliance delivered all fit except the fridge. The new one fit but freezer door opened only 2/3 the way open because of trim on door way next to fridge.
Had to get company to take fridge back and find my own fridge. The only one that fits is the GE Side By Side so i bought it.
It works ok but seems to run more than i thought it would. The ice maker is a problem and most of the time my ice maker door stays open. The ice maker door has water discharge nozzle that holds ice cubes in way of door so it does not shut all the time.
I had to turn fridge down to number 1 setting on both fridge and freezer or food would freeze. I turned ice maker off and only turn it on when i need new ice cubes. I do not use ice maker dispenser any more i open door get some ice and close it. This way the ice dispenser door is not open all the time.
I paid $925 for the Ge fridge. Was happy to find one that fit. If i did not find one i would have had to remodel one wall and replace tile to make fridge space bigger.
Would i buy another Ge fridge i have no choice it is only one that fits. If you ever remodel kitchen make sure new appliance will fit check sizes and make sure you have more than enough room or you will be stuck with one option like i am.
The fridge is a nice one in some respects has nice shelves and drawers. Plenty of space for small size and water dispenser works fine but ice maker does not.
They have one with built in water filter i could only get one with out it. I would have had to wait 1 month to get one with water filter. I just put inline filter in basement water line and it works good and is easy to change.
If you need a small side by side fridge to fit a tight spot this is the one you need. Is it the best one no but it fits places no other fridge will so it does have a use.
