This is a pretty good hrm for $100.
I used it to train for my first marathon. I used the continuous hr while running to make sure I wasn't being too lazy or working too hard (particularly on hills). I like the high and low target zone features with the choice of audible or visual alert (I don't like the audible). In my runner's log, I kept track of total work out times, average hr and calories burned. I really like the lap features because most often I trained on a 3.2 mile loop. I thought the chest strap would be uncomfortable, but it wasn't. I could absolutely forget I was wearing it. The watch is a bit smaller than some competitor models (some of which can be like wearing a laptop on your wrist). It's still pretty big for a woman's wrist.
The watch died on me after owning it just six months. I sent it for repair under its 1 year warranty. The chest strap is big. I had it adjusted to it's smallest length possible. If you are a very thin female, it might be too big for you. The calorie counter only uses gender and weight to calculate expenditure. Better hrms use the hr also to get a more accurate reading.
