I bought this Sweet Streets Horse and Carriage for my daughter's three year old birthday party. It was a huge hit with her. She loves horses and she loves Sweet Streets houses and shops. This was the perfect gift for her.
The Sweet Streets Horse and Carriage come complete with a horse and a carriage, picnic basket, picnic blanket/ carriage blanket, a man and a woman, a rein for the horse, and an umbrella. The umbrella can be used for the picnic or insert into the hole in the carriage which holds it into place. The man and woman are both flexible so that they can sit in the carriage or on the picnic blanket but are able to stand up too. The horse can be used alone. When you do want the horse and carriage together, there are two holes on either side of the horse's body. Line it up with the pegs from the rein. Then it is ready to pull the carriage.
It is in proportion to other houses. The horse and carriage add a different element to the community. The people from this set can interact with other people of other sets very easily. This is one of the wonderful features of Sweet Streets sets.
Little hands find it very easy to move the horse or to manipulate the people. This makes it easier for young kids to delve into the world of imagination. It is hard to play pretend when you cannot manipulate the pieces!
This set is really easy to put away. You just have a few pieces that you can easily store in a Ziploc bag to make traveling a breeze. This set is inexpensive but the fun and the creativity is endless.
