Pros: great pain relief
Cons: makes me nauseous at times
The Bottom Line: For a real migrane, this is great stuff. I wouldn't take it for just a normal headache, tends to be strong to me.

Excedrine Migrane is a mixture of acetaminophen, aspirin, and caffeine. Normally I wouldn't like the addition of caffeine, as I know that I get more than my share of this drug anyway, but it really does do something to speed up the relief.
With the caffeine and the aspirin (which has been known to cause Reye Syndrome in children) it is for adults and children over 12.
You can take 2 Excedrin Migrane every 6 hours while needed. And I have found that this is good for headache and general muscle aches. When I need a little added pain relief that regular Tylenol doesn't seem to do, I head for this.
You need to see a doctor if you take this and you develop any of the following side effects:
if the pain worsens in 48 hours
ringing in the ears, or hearing loss occurs
There is an allergy alert to go along with the standard alcohol alert. The allergy alert is that if you take this and you have hives, facial swelling, asthma, or shock, stop taking and head for the doctors.
I think this is a great pain reliever for people with true migranes that have the nausea, the head rushes, pain, and the visual auras. I have these frequently and it really helps with these.
