| renjay427's Full Review: Dell Inspiron 2650 (265RHU) PC Notebook |
When going off to my first year of college, I was not sure whether to buy a desktop or a notebook PC. One thing I was sure of was that I wanted to get a Dell. All possible scenarios ran through my mind, and i cam to my final decision. I decided to get a Dell 2650 series.
My notebook PC came with an Intel Pentium 4 processor. This made my PC extremely fast. It's perfect for any student going into their college years. It is fast, reliable, and fits great in a backpack. I used to bring my actual spiral notebook to class, but one day i decided to use my notebook PC to take notes and it made it so much easier. Just type the notes up, it saves you time and work. Then, go back to your dorm and print out the notes to study. Other great features is that it has a built in network driver so connection to the university network is a breeze. There is no need to buy any ethernet adapters, so you end up saving money there.
The only downside to this PC is that it is quite heavy for a laptop.
I ordered my Dell Inspiron 2650 with a Pentium 4, 20 GB drive, floppy drive, CD burner drive, and Windows XP Professional.
So far, I have had my dell notebook for about 5 months and I have not had a single problem yet.
Performance wise, the Dell Inspiron 2650 is great. Like I rambled on about in the beginning, it is fast! As to battery life, it lasts about 2 hours. But, you can always get another battery if you want a longer lasting one. For college, the 2 hours i get is plenty enough time to take my notes and come back to my dorm room. Anyway nowadays, college classrooms even have a plug and network plug on the desk!
All in all, it is a great notebook PC for students of all ages and also fairly inexpensive for all the features it has.
