The Bottom Line: Awesome saw if you are looking for an industrial grade sawzall. Because it's industrial grade it's bigger, heavier & more powerful. Will rip through anything.

I bought this saw at home depot on clearance. I needed a "sawzall" for a while and finally got one. It has operated perfectly since I have owned it. Dewalt makes great industrial grade tools and has lived up to its reputation with this saw as well. I have used it a few times around the house. This saw has a few more features than the next lower model such as an adjustable speed dial on the handle, quick release blade lock and more power. How many times have you bought a tool and wished you bought one with just a little more power or features? The rubber grip up front is both good & bad. It does provide a nice grip, but at the expense of cleaning the saw up. I think I would have rather had them put a harder plastic or metal up there simply because that tacky rubber tends to hold on the all of the drywall dust and make it harder to clean the tool after using it. This saw has some weight to it, so if you are smaller you may want to go for the lower & lighter model. It could become cumbersome for you if you have a lot of sawing to do.
