I have owned and used this setup for almost 3 years on my job as a maintenance technician. After 3 years of use, all I have replaced is the sponge. I don't use it every day but it does see substantial use. I use it on everything from PCB components to coax/twin-ax connectors. The wide adjustable range of heat makes it well suited for a variety of jobs. The iron handle itself is a nice length for good control and the foam ring helps reduce strain and insulates your fingers from the heat. The cord lengths are generous and should accommodate most situations. My station is still working great even after being dropped numerous times.
