Pros: Solid feel, great spin, and reasonable priced.

The Bottom Line: A great wedge for all levels of handicap golfers!

| ice_cap's Full Review: Cleveland GunMetal Wedge |
Before purchasing this wedge, I was using a PING EYE and the grooves have completely worn out. I had my mind set on buying either the Cleveland 588 or Titleist Vockey and eventually chose the 588 Gunmetal 56* SW. Here's why...
I didn't buy the Vockey because it was more expensive than the 588 and the wear factor on the Vockey Raw. Next time you visit a golf shop, take a look at the shaft on the Vockey Raw, you should see a warning sticker saying that the grooves will wear out faster than normal.
I chose the Gunmetal over the RTG and Chrome because...
1. The material is the strongest of the three. According to a couple experts, the grooves on the RTG will wear out the quickest, and the Gunmetal is just slightly harder than the Chrome.
2. The Gunmetal will rust over a period of time. As the groove wears out little by little, perhaps the rust will help the ball to spin.
3. The color.
4. It comes with Dynamic Gold shaft and Tour Velvet type grip which is my favorite.
As a 16 handicap, I often miss the green with my approach shot. This wedge has help me to get up-and-down more often than all the other wedges I've own in the past. When struck solidly, the ball will check very fast so I can aim at the hole and not worry about it running off the green.
After playing 3 rounds, I can see the color on the sole fading just a bit. Also, it tends to chew up the cover on some soft cover balls such as Balata. Other than that, it's a great wedge!
