| AliventiAsylum's Full Review: Children's Tylenol Plus Cold Daytime Liquid |
This has been a horrible year for colds in our family. When my children get colds, I hate to make the choice between allowing them to go to school with a runny nose or somewhat drowsy. Fortunately, Children’s Tylenol Plus Cold Daytime Liquid makes it so I don’t have to make that choice. One particularly nasty cold hit us all when we were about to leave for a ski vacation. I threw all of the cold medicines I had in a bag, but I didn’t want to my children anything which would leave them drowsy when they were about to hit the slopes for the day. We stopped in the CVS in town when we arrived and I grabbed a bottle of the Children’s Tylenol Plus Cold Daytime Liquid. My 9 year old daughter used Children’s Tylenol Plus Cold Daytime Liquid all week and never felt drowsy. Our second morning there she woke up with a slight fever and I cancelled her class for that day. By the afternoon when I went over to pick up her sister, she was bouncing around and ready to hit the slopes. I give a lot of credit to the Children’s Tylenol Plus Cold Daytime Liquid for knocking out the fever that quickly and bringing her back to a normal behavior. I haven’t tasted it, but my 4 year old son can sometimes give me a hard time taking medicine. He takes the Children’s Tylenol Plus Cold Daytime Liquid without any protest. The syrup is a thick red and takes some time to drink out of the little cup supplied with it. There have been times when I have had to hold him down and force him to take something, but he takes the Children’s Tylenol Plus Cold Daytime Liquid easily. The Children’s Tylenol Plus Cold Daytime Liquid is supposed to last 4-6 hours. I’d say that’s about right as I would see symptoms beginning to re-appear usually after about 5 hours. Although Children’s Tylenol Plus Cold Daytime Liquid is labeled as being good for children ages 2-11, I have used it when my 14 year-old gets a cold with a scratchy throat. She doesn’t always like to swallow pills, and when her throat is feeling scratchy I don’t blame her. She has huge tonsils normally and when a cold strikes, sometimes swallowing pills can become difficult. I have given her the 2 tsp. Dosage for those 6-11 years of age (48-95 pounds) and it works on her pretty good as she is only 105 pounds. With three children, ages 14, 9, and 4, it’s good to have something around that I know I can count on when they wake up in the morning with a runny nose. Keeping Children’s Tylenol Plus Cold Daytime Liquid is a great way to be confident that even if they wake up sniffling in the morning, they’ll make it through that school day.
