TomFrayne's Full Review: Memorex (32025900) DVD-RAM Storage Media Single
I gave this media a bad review when I could not make it work reliably in my drive. However, I bought the OptoDisc media, and found that it failed the same way. It turned out that the drive was causing the errors. Since the drive was fixed both the Memorex and the OptoDisc media have worked every time.
I now think that this was an excellent buy. The only complaint I still have is that Memorex should have mentioned the possibility of a DVD-RAM drive failure so that I might have fixed the problem earlier.
The original problem:
I bought a six pack of this item because it was very cheap. However, when it arrived, several of the cartridges would not format in my Panasonic LF-D201 DVD-RAM drive.
Some of the cartridges were not recognized at all. Others were recognized, but acted as if the write tab was in the wrong position. I sent the bad ones back and got replacements. The replacement cartridges were also bad.
