The Bitty Baby, accompanied by the Bitty Bear, is a beautiful little bundle of joy, realistic in look and touch and very endearing to the junior Mom (or Dad) playmate.
The Bitty Baby stands (or sits) at 15 inches tall. Bitty has a cloth body with arms, legs and a vinyl head. Your initial wardrobe consists of a turquoise velour sleeper with a built in bib and a diaper, along with Bitty Bear, a five inch posable bear. The Sleeper only can be purchased for $12.00, and the Bear only can be purchased for $10.00. The combination of doll, clothes and bear is $38.00.
You have a choice of five (5) dolls to choose from. Each doll has a different texture hair, from black to blonde, different color eyes and different shaped eyes. Although my daughter finds the eyes to be somewhat "spookey", I believe in general the Bitty Baby has a nice calm look on her face, very similar to that wonderful time each day when baby has nothing to complain about, having been fed, diapered, bathed and played with..that usually lasts about...ten minutes?:)
Accessories for The Bitty Baby include:
-Baby's high chair: This chair also converts to a play chair and table with nesting shapes to sort- $34.00
-Baby's Changing Table: Also includes a realistic bottom shelf to store accessories- $40.00

Angela's Buyer Recommendation
If your daughter enjoys taking care of children and being a Mommy, and respects and cares for her belongings, then I would highly recommend The Bitty Baby and it's series of delightful clothing and accessories. These are expensive items that need some care and maintenance, and shouldn't be shoved into a closet along with twenty neglected Barbies and stuffed animals.
My only complaint is that I would like to see another version of the baby smiling. The expression is natural and real, but if you are going to be buying a baby, why not get one that makes you smile as well?:)
This is also an ideal gift for children who enjoy collecting dolls and bric-a-brac, as the American Girl series and Bitty Babies will more than likely become collectors items in the future as the line continues growing and expanding in popularity.
