Let me start by saying that my 8 1/2 year old son and I are both highly allergic to mosquito bites! While my husband & 11 1/2 year old daughter only swell up a tiny bit, my son & I develop huge "welts" even after being bitten by the smallest of mosquitos.
After several years of trying different anti-itch type creams & lotions with minimal success, we've finally found one that works - Benadryl Itch Relief Stick. Not only has this Itch Relief Stick provide immense relief for my son and I - it is also very easy to use & store. Simply remove the cap, turn the Itch Relief Stick upside down, apply to the area that is itching & replace the cap. No more waiting for messy lotions or creams to dry, as the Benadryl Itch Relief Stick dries immediately after application.
I take the Benadryl Itch Relief Stick with me everywhere I go and it has come in handy plenty of times, both with my son and with family and friends. After applying the Itch Relief Stick to my son's mosquito bites, the itching stops almost immediately! My daughter recently found herself with a nasty case of Poison Ivy creeping up her leg - we found after applying the Itch Relief Stick to the rash caused by the Poison Ivy several times a day, that the Poison Ivy did not spread as far as it had in the past as the ingredients in this product helped to dry the "weeping" of the rash!
Benadryl Itch Relief Stick contains the ingredient Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride which is an antihistamine. This antihistamine stops most itching almost immediately after contact. Effective in stopping the itch & drying up of Poison Ivy, Poison Sumac & Poison Oak, the Benadryl Itch Relief Stick is a must have for every family! I have 3 of theses sticks - 1 in my purse, 1 in my car and 1 in my medicine cabinet at home.
I do wish that there were a slightly larger version of this stick available, as it seems to run out rather quickly - especially when it's taken along on camping or hiking trips. We have had absolutely no problems with this product "drying up" in it's container, as we have had in the past with similar type products. Even when it's not used for several months, and stored away, it is just as effective in stopping an itch, as it was when it was first purchased.
I highly recommend the Benadryl Itch Relief Stick to anyone looking for relief from the itching caused by insect bites, rashes, skin irritations, Poison Ivy, Poison Sumac & Poison Oak. Both portable in size & effective in stopping that annoying itch, the Benadryl Itch Relief Stick receives a "thumbs-up" in my book!
