| irishmom72's Full Review: Avon Silicone Glove Hand Cream |
I had never had a reason to try this product until our daughter was born six weeks ago. For the first time my hands are really dry! The tips of a couple of my fingers are even flaky with dry skin. I couldn't use my regular hand lotion because when I'm preparing bottles and stuff for the baby, I don't want the lotion coming off and going into the water. Also, my regular hand lotion is a little greasy and it ends up all over the baby. So I turned to this and I LOVE it. It's not greasy, it doesn't wash off (it will wear off eventually), it moisturizes, and it protects my hands. Within two days, of applying it in the morning and night, my hands look and feel so much better!
What makes this moisturizing hand lotion so unique is that it doesn't wash off and it's not greasy. It creates a moisturizing barrier on the skin to prevent the skin from drying out. If you just have naturally dry hands, this is a great product. If you have dry hands like I do from washing them all the time due to diaper changes, dish washing, cleaning, etc., it's even better because the barrier of the lotion protects my hands from all the soap and cleaning products I'm using all the time. As the name of the product implies, it's like wearing a glove.
This product is also extremely affordable! A 4.2 fl. oz. tube is only $2.29 and is often on sale. You do have to purchase it through Avon or an Avon Rep though. You can find it at Avon's web site, www.avon.com, or find a local Rep near you by calling 800-FOR-AVON.
