| hengwoon's Full Review: Apple iPod classic 2nd Generation 10 GB (PC - M874... |
Usually I do not fancy Apple products, but when I first saw the iPod I was totally amazed by how well Apple has done in creating this wonderful MP3 Player. When I tried it at a store I was awed at the iPod's easy-to-use buttons and a circular scroll which makes it extremely easy to navigate between the options.
The iPod boasts a great LCD display and wonderful options - graphical Equalizer, LCD display options, ID3 tag capable, sorting through categories such as genre, artist, album, and many other features. It's 10GB size offers a whole lot to store your favourite MP3s. I have about 2000 mp3s on my iPod and it still has loads of empty space left. For a 10GB MP3 player it only weighs 6.5 ounces which is extremely light compared to the Nomad Jukeboxes.
Despite its pretty appearance, the white surface can get oily and dirty really quick. The earphones that come with the iPod are not the best and I would recommend getting better earphones or headphones that give better sound quality and better bass. For $399.00 the iPod is extremely pricey. The iPod's remote also lacks an LCD display that a few other MP3 Players such as the IRiver mp3 players which can be really useful and convenient. Battery life lasts about 6 hours of continuous playing.
