The Advent AW810 Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Speaker!

Pros: Wireless!
Cons: Poor range, poor sound after ¾ volume and not enough watts!
The Bottom Line: The Advent AW810 speaker seems to be a disappointment as far as sound and range!

The Advent AW810 speaker is made for indoor and outdoor use without the use of any speaker wires. You connect the speaker to any audio device of your choice like a radio, CD player, TV and any thing else you can think of.
Place the speaker anywhere you wish within 300 feet from the transmitter without any wires.
~~~ Design ~~~
The design of the speaker (White in color) is small (9 ¾ inches high x 7 ½ inches wide x 7 inches deep) in a modern shape made out of a hard plastic for durability and waterproofing. Built inside is a one inch tweeter and a 5 inch woofer both being water-resistant with 15 watt RMS power. There are two control knobs, one for tuning and the other for on/off and volume.
The transmitter is small, black in color and has a 3 inch antenna that flips up for better reception.

~~~ My Conclusion! ~~~
First of all this doesn’t give you a real stereo sound coming out of one speaker, in reality you would need two of these to get a true stereo sound. The retail price for the Advent AW810 speaker is $144.99 but can be found in the $80 range, so two of them would double the price.
Using them outdoors from the transmitter which is connected to my home stereo system, they produce a clear sound up to about 125 feet from the transmitter, after that you start to get a hissing sound in it. Connecting them to a boom box outside the range did go to a little over 200 feet before the distorted hissing sound started.
Volume, well forget it, with the 15watts RMS it lacks enough power outside to produce a good outside sound. Inside the speakers did better because the outside has more surrounding noise. Turning the volume beyond ¾ would distort the sound very much.
I cannot recommend the Advent AW810 speaker because it lacks a good loud sound outdoors, the range is way less than 300 feet and the price even in the $80 range is way too high!
The Advent AW810 speaker had to go back for a full refund!
